The Bradwell Bay Wilderness is a notoriously wet section of the Apalachicola Forest. Florida Trail’s F-Troop staff and volunteer crew spent the weekend lopping, axing, and sawing the trail through the first couple of miles of the currently very dry Bradwell Bay.It was very hot! Mid-September may be too early for such hot work. But everyone had a great time, and I know I’ll be grateful for that little piece of cleared trail when I pass though here again in a couple months. Especially if it’s really wet in there by then.
